    Hi Puja:
Your meditations are all very short. I think you said an hour a day of meditation is appropriate. How do you choose which? Is it based on our liking, mood or circumstance? Is it better to pick one or two and keep repeating them or keep moving through them all?

    Namaste, Gary

Hi Gary- Thank you for being here and for your commitment to meditation. Yes, of course an hour a day would be ideal but depending on your time and daily life. Some people notice distinct psychological benefits in the forms of reduced stress and greater happiness with only ten minutes of meditation daily, although most people seem to require around twenty minutes to experience benefits. There is one well-known study that trained people in meditation for eight weeks. The participants, who were new to meditation, ended up meditating for an average of 23 minutes a day. At the end of eight weeks their brain activity had measurably changed, and they showed much higher activation of parts of the brain that are associated with feelings of well-being and less activation of parts of the brain associated with stress. And they were found to have an improved immune response as well. That’s after just 23 minutes a day, on average.

Through my own experience I’ve found that any amount of meditation is better than none. There have been days, for whatever reason mostly being a mother, I’ve only been able to meditate for five or ten minutes, I’ve found that my mental states can change perceptibly over that period of time, and that the benefits persist throughout the day even with just that. On my deep meditations for an hour, of course, the results are incredible.

So my advice is, just do it. If you can only manage twenty minutes a day, do twenty minutes. If you can only manage ten, do that. If three minutes is all you have, then spending three minutes is much, much better than not doing so.

Choose what resonates with you in regards to the guided meditations and if you feel you need to repeat one, do so, because you won’t always have the same clarity everyday. And of course, spend time in silence too, just listening to and following your breath at the times you are not using the guided meditations to get you into that state. Namaste, Puja

        Hi Puga:

How do you control mind chatter? It can be better or worse but sometimes it is over whelming.

        Namaste, Gary

    Hi Puga:
In the Japa Meditation is the mantra Wah Heh Guru or sometimes it sounds like Wah Hey Gudu? Is this my imagination?

    Thanks, Gary

    • Puja Shah 10 years ago

Thanks Gary, maybe just the way it sounds, I definitely was saying Wah Heh Guru 🙂

    Good Day.
I was wondering where I can find the proper pronunciation to the Shree Yantra Mantra so I can start doing a morning meditation saying this mantra 108 times. I kinda of A dyslexic so even if I could hear an audio translation so I can be assured that I am saying it right to get the most out of the mantra. Thanks so much Neil

We talk about this in Project Wealth, are you part of that program Neil?

Hi Puja, thanks for bring these wonderful meditations to us. I wonder if there is a way of downloading these so they can be listened to on the London underground? Also to this end some longer meditations would be also be nice for the longer journeys, say 20 or 30 minutes.

    Many thanks,

    Jan

Where does one find longer meditations? These are nice, but really MUCH too short. Sorry, but for a $47 purchase, I expected a little more. Namaste’

hi everyone! wow..there’s a lot of Laura’s in our group, eh? Gotta love it.
Don’t know if this is the correct forum to put this note, but I will anyway.
Just a quick note to say THANK YOU to Amish and Puja for dedicating your vital energies to helping all of us move forward in our consciousness. Cannot tell you how much I appreciate the way the sessions are structured to build upon each other, as well as learning the history behind the rituals!! I feel like I finally have something structured I can do, step by step, instead of bouncing around picking up bits and pieces here and there and everywhere, then try to put this jigsaw puzzle of a plan together on my own. Again, a heartfelt thank you for sharing your gifts, and sharing them in such a manageable way! Bear hugs to you both!

In using a mala….is there a video to show you how to correctly hold it and count while saying your mantra

    • Puja 8 years ago

Hold your mala in your right hand, draped between your middle and index fingers. Starting at the guru bead, use your thumb to count each smaller bead, pulling it toward you as you recite your mantra. Do this 108 times, traveling around the mala, until you once again reach the guru bead.

  22. Braven C 8 years ago

    Hello Pujah,

Can you please advise for me and my beloved wife, Regina (Pronounced Hayjeenah)
where to start with your mediations ?

We like to meditate together, at the same time.

we are looking for a meditation to start off the day right. so we have the best possible outcomes for each day.
As well we need a meditation for middle of the day to refocus our minds.
    and
a 3rd meditation to help us prepare for sleep so we can have great peaceful, inspiring dreams.

    • Puja 8 years ago

      Hi Braven,

Thank you both for being here and meditating:) To start off the day, I love centering to be heart centered so that one is great. For the middle of the day, it is wonderful to be reminded of presence as you say for focus so the whole presence meditation can be good. As for the sleep, I do suggest the endless smile meditation because it will put a smile on your face and and mind. Please do try them all and let me know what you think though. Namaste

    Hi Puja

I purchased the parimidam from PY some months ago ; right from the beginning , my son accidentally hit the sriyantra and it fell; no damage done majorly but it got chipped at the top by an iota which is barely visible ; however I have continued meditating on it ; Sonu think this is right ?? Please advise .

    Thanks
    Mannish

    • Puja 8 years ago

Mannish- sorry for the delay- I actually contacted an expert on the Parimidam so we had the best answer. Here is what they said: Fundamentally the Parimidam deals with intention. The design is important but I feel a small chip won’t have a significant effect on its properties. Minor imperfections give the Parimidam some character as it is a mini consciousness itself. If aesthetics are an issue or the customer is a perfectionist then he could purchase another – but for what they are asking, meditating with it shouldn’t be a problem as long as they don’t focus on the damage – as that fear based energy form will get amplified too! My advice -accept it for the perfect imperfection that it is.” 🙂
